Infertility Symptom - The Symptoms Of Infertility

J D Dean

When looking for an infertility symptom you've got to understand unlike many other conditions or diseases, symptoms of infertility are a little harder to distinguish simply because there is no outward physical signs such as menopause hot flashes for example.

In fact, probably the only real symptom of infertility is non-conception over any given length of time. From this, other symptoms may develop such as depression and withdrawal from a person's social set.

Infertility affects different people in different ways and how you handle the knowledge once it's been confirmed you have fertility issues will determine your mental well being.

Let's take a look at what might be regarded as an infertility symptom:

- Menstrual cycle or the absence of it.There's an old saying surrounding menstrual cycles that goes something like..."The periods are always damned: damned when they come, and damned when they don’t”. Do no periods mean infertility issues are at play. Possibly but they could also mean other conditions such as menopause, cancer, fibroids etc.

- Low body temperature during the first and/or last few days of the cycle may be indicative of too low female hormones in the blood, and hence a factor for infertility.

- Cervical fluid or an absence of it... sperm on it's own is like a fish out of water. Cervical fluid helps the sperm on it's way to the egg. When the cervical fluid is absent or less, the sperm movement is heavily hampered, thus fertility issues could be present.

- Low and persistent pelvic pain – when women complain of pain in the lower pelvic area, this could mean that there could be fibroids, tumors or acute infections which would definitely go against conceiving.

Don't go looking for an infertility symptom. Any one of the above could be indicative that a problem may exist. Your biggest indicator however will be non-conception following six to twelve months of trying.

If any of the above indicators should emerge in the first few months then don't play the guessing game and consult your doctor immediately.
